NEW YORK—Spark Workshop, a creative workshop community, has leased 13,000 sq. ft. of space in Industry City’s Building 7 in Brooklyn.
Industry City at Bush Terminal along Brooklyn’s Sunset Park waterfront is a complex of manufacturing, office and retail space. Built in the early 1900s, it was the largest manufacturing and distribution center in the worked. Comprised of 16 buildings, Industry City is now home to creative and innovative firms and businesses.
“There is an extraordinary creative life force here with a host of inventive tenants,” said Bruce Federman, director of real estate at Industry City Associates. “Spark Workshop should fit in well with the variety of artisans who already call Industry City home.”
Headed by President Gary Oshust, Spark Workshop provides communal studio and gallery space for manufacturing and artists with shared equipment for a monthly fee.
