Multifamily investment sales brokerage Apartment Realty Advisors (ARA) has forged a strategic partnership with a major West Coast real estate services firm. Burnham Real Estate, one of Southern California’s largest privately held real estate firms, represents the second half of the ARA/Pacific partnership.
Burnham, which was originally founded in 1891, employs 250 people in Southern California. Malin Burnham, chairman of the Burnham Companies, is a well-known philanthropist living in the San Diego area. Denver, Colorado-based ARA employs 81 people.
This new entity will yield ARA a total of 11 offices nationwide, including two new offices in San Diego and Las Vegas.
"In two short years, ARA has gone from a loose network of top investment professionals to the leading multifamily-exclusive brokerage representing more than $4 billion in transactions this years—the highest per broker in the industry," says Jeff Hawks, principal at ARA.
