Heitman American Real Estate Trust has acquired an industrial portfolio for over $100 million from a joint venture between Panattoni Development Co. and LaSalle Investment Management. The portfolio is located in the Chicago area in Romeoville's Windham Lakes Southwest Business Park. It consists of four buildings totaling almost 2 million sq. ft. The transaction stands as the largest in the I-55 Corridor industrial submarket in 10 years.
Transwestern Investment Co. has acquired Anchor Centre in Phoenix, Ariz. The investment is being made on behalf of Aslan Realty Partners III, a fully discretionary institutional equity fund with capital commitments of $800 million. Anchor Centre is a two-building Class-A, mid-rise office complex totaling over 333,000 sq. ft. The property is located in the Camelback corridor of Phoenix and within close proximity to the Arizona Biltmore Resort.
Moss & Associates has launched a $38 million expansion of the Marion County Judicial Center in Ocala, Fla. for the Marion County Board of Commissioners. The project is a five-story, 150,000 sq. ft. structure that will house the State Attorney's Office and new courts and related services. The new building will connect on each level of the existing judicial center, which was built in 1989. The expansion project is slated for completion in late 2009.
