The IBM Corp. has announced a plan to bring 1,250 new office-using jobs to Fairfax County, Va. The new jobs will help IBM service its fast-growing federal business.
These jobs are part of IBM’s plan to create 18,800 jobs around the world this year. These 1,250 jobs will be part of IBM’s public sector consulting division that works with homeland security.
According to Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, IBM will invest $10 million to expand its operations in Fairfax County near Washington, D.C. The average salary of these new jobs will be more than $90,000.
