Quincy Allen joined Los Angeles-based Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund as vice president. Allen, previously an advisor with Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors and vice president of Archstone Communities Trust, will oversee the firm's new investments and manage its existing portfolio.
New York-based Thor Equities added three new members to its executive team. Kurt Reich (right), a former Prudential Real Estate exec, joins the developer as vice president for acquisitions. Dave English (right), who has worked in store planning for Urban Brands, Barnes & Noble, Laura Ashley and Party City, is the company's new vice president of construction. Carl Reggie, previously a marketing director at Simon Property Group and The Rouse Co., is Thor's new director of marketing.
Deborah Lerner is the new vice president of asset management for Coral Springs, Fla.-based Amera Realty Services Inc. Lerner previously worked as Konover Property Trust's regional director for southern Florida. She now directs property management for Amera's 600,000-square-foot retail portfolio.
Tim Gibbons is taking over The Macerich Co.'s newly acquired Westcor malls. Gibbons, formerly vice president of leasing for The Santa Monica, Calif.-based developer, is moving to Phoenix to assume his new role as vice president of leasing, Westcor region. Gibbons, who joined Macerich in 1984, will work with Westcor's existing leasing team to meld the best practices of both companies at the region's eight malls.
May Department Stores' CEO and President Joyce Roche won a spot on the retailer's board of directors. The company also named Don Foster vice chairman of its design and construction division and Carol Williams president of its internationa division.
Newport Beach, Calif.-based The Irvine Co. promoted Jeff Dodd (right) to senior vice president, leasing, and hired Heather Hollister to fill his previous position — vice president, leasing. Dodd joined the company in 1986. Hollister, who was vice president of real estate for The Wet Seal Inc., has worked in the leasing departments of General Growth Properties, Corporate Property Investors (now Simon Property Group) and JMB Property Management Co.
Tulsa, Okla.-based Stan Johnson Co. promoted Craig Kenney to senior vice president and Darren Sides to vice president. Kenney, who has been with the single-tenant net lease firm for five years, previously worked for New Market Development, and in the financial advisory services group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Dallas office.
Terry Lundgren, president, COO and chief merchandising officer for Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores, will succeed James Zimmerman as CEO. Zimmerman will remain chairman. Five corporate vice chairs will report directly to Lundgren.
