Henderson Global Investors has launched an open-ended, commingled real estate fund that will invest in a range property classes. The fund will chiefly buy apartment, retail, industrial and office properties located in select U.S. markets. Henderson Global Investors manages more than $10.1 billion in assets.
“The Henderson Property Fund offers investors a way to diversify into the commercial real estate sector through a portfolio management approach designed to capitalize on investment opportunities which provide attractive risk adjusted returns,” says portfolio manager Ed Pierzak.
The HPF has been seeded with assets totaling $181.8 million in gross value. The fund will target a 50% loan-to-value ratio (LTV) using portfolio and property level financing.
