Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Trinity Place Sign Leases at 61 Broadway for a Combined 46,000 Sq. Ft.

NEW YORK—Broad Street Development (BSD), owner of 61 Broadway, has signed two leases totaling more than 46,000 sq. ft. With these two leases, the building is 95 percent occupied with its retail component being 100 percent leased.

In the first lease, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society signed an 11-year, 20,000-sq.-ft. office lease to occupy the building’s entire fourth floor. The Broad Street leasing team of David Israni and Ramona Huegel represented the ownership in the lease, while Andrew Stein of Vicus Partners and Lynn Drake of Compass Commercial represented the tenant.

Currently, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society occupies offices at 475 Park Ave. South. The organization plans to move into its new built-to-suit space at 61 Broadway by the end of the year.

In the second lease transaction, Trinity Place Department Store signed a 12-year, 26,141-sq.-ft. retail lease. The store will occupy the three-level retail space in the back of the downtown building with an entrance at 37 Trinity Place. Israni and Huegel represented ownership in the transaction with Thomas Kaufman and Rory Murphy of Cushman & Wakefield working on behalf of he tenant.

Located in Manhattan’s financial district, 61 Broadway is Energy Star accredited and totals 700,000 sq. ft. of space spanning 33 stories.
