CHICAGO—GlenStar Properties and USAA Real Estate Co., owners of the Chicago Board of Trade complex, have hired CBRE as leasing agent and consulting for the property.
The building is on Jackson Boulevard at LaSalle Street, and extends south to Van Buren Street. About 5,400 people work at the complex, which is also home to the CME Group.
CBRE’s assignment will entail the optimization of existing retail space as well as seeking opportunities to expand the retail offerings to provide a superior amenity package to the CBOT’s tenants. Plans are already underway and implementation is scheduled to commence later this year.
“We view this assignment as an opportunity to improve upon the already great offerings at the CBOT and to enhance the experience for tenants and visitors alike,” said Bruce A. Kaplan with CBRE. Other team members include Senior Vice President Michael Shields and Vice President Todd Siegel.
