Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will make music in new hall

ATLANTA — The Woodruff Arts Center has acquired 6.36 acres in midtown Atlanta from New York-based AT&T for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s new music hall. Houston-based Hines will buy the land at the corner of 14th and Peachtree streets from the Arts Center and donate 3 acres back to it for a new symphony hall. Hines, which will develop the new facility, also plans to build a luxury hotel/apartment tower and a high-rise condominium near the music hall. Woodruff Arts Center was represented by Colliers Cauble Chairman Bill Law and Senior Vice President Bob Allen. AT&T was represented by Will Yowell and George Bartelme.
