THE NEXT GENERATION OF STUDENT HOUSING

MetroPointe Lofts, a 368-unit, $76 million student housing development located in the heart of Atlanta's university system, is the first private development of its kind in the capital city and a prototype for what developers believe will ultimately resolve the city's university housing shortage. In short, the project offers leases by the bedroom, which combine the luxuries of residential living with the economies of shared space.

In addition to offering a place to sleep and shower, the lofts also feature a host of amenities, including a 24-hour computer lab with computers, printer and copy machine; a study room with high-speed connectivity; and a fitness center, club room, electronic key locks and vending machines.

Outdoors, there is a swimming pool with sun decks, and volleyball and basketball court with barbecue area. Complimentary private shuttles chauffeur residents to the nearby Georgia Institute of Technology campus and a metro transit station.

Developed and managed by Technology Housing LLC, through Kim King Associates Inc. and Collegiate Holdings LLC, half of MetroPointe opened at the end of July, and is completely leased. The remaining units are scheduled to be ready for leasing in early September. Students can select from lofts made up of two-bedroom/two-bath configurations or four-bedroom/four-bath for $630 per room per month or $585 per room per month, respectively.
