DETROIT – Toronto-based TrizecHahn Corp. has sold the Fisher and Albert Kahn Buildings in Detroit, Mich. Located in the New Center Area of Detroit’s central business district, the two office buildings total one million sq. ft. and have been owned by TrizecHahn since 1974. The purchaser was a partnership of Philadelphia-based Lubert Adler Real Estate Funds and Southfield, Mich.-based Farbman Group.
The Fisher Building, which is located at 3011 W. Grand Blvd., consists of a 28-story tower and two 11-story wings. The Albert Kahn Building is an 11-story mid-rise office building located at 7430 Second Ave. The two buildings are connected.
The transaction also included over 1,200 parking spaces in five areas situated in and around the buildings. Kenneth J. Szady, senior vice president of the investment services group for Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co., represented TrizecHahn and was assisted locally by Eric Siegel, vice president of investment services, in Trammell Crow’s Detroit office.
