FAIRLESS HILLS, PA—Jones Lang LaSalle has been selected by Steel ORCA LLC as leasing agent for a state-of-the-art data center facility, known as a digital utility center, in Fairless Hills, Penn. The company will oversee agency leasing and marketing services for the 700,000-sq.-ft., mission-critical facility.
The Jones Lang LaSalle team overseeing the leasing assignment is led by Daoud Awad, managing director, and includes: Sumner Putnam, vice president with the national Data Center Solutions group; Peter Talman, executive vice president; Tom Weitzel, vice president; and Scott Dunwoody, leasing associate. The team will work closely with Steel ORCA executives Dave Crocker, CEO, and Dennis Cronin, COO.
Steel ORCA is developing a two-story, 700,000-sq.-ft. data center facility on a site that resides within a 4,000-acre gated campus. The mission critical facility will comprise more than 300,000 sq. ft. of white space and is capable of providing power output up to 100 megawatts. The initial phase of development is scheduled to be completed in early 2013.
The digital utility center was designed with redundant capacity and a state-of-the-art security system. Fiber is available in diverse paths on an MPLS network. The standard offering supports power and cooling of 130 watts to 200 watts per sq. ft., with additional capacities available. It also offers flexibility and scalability in physical configuration, electrical systems, HVAC systems and all associated supporting systems, including monitoring and controls.
