Boise, Idaho – Locally based Albertson’s Inc. named Lawrence Johnston as its new chairman and CEO, effective immediately. He replaces Gary Michael as the new head of Albertson’s. The appointment marks the first time Albertson’s has gone outside the company for its new leader. Johnston most recently served as CEO of GE’s appliance division.
