General Growth Properties and the Pinnacle Group broke ground on the 106-acre Pinnacle Hills Promenade open-air shopping center in Rogers, Ark. The 980,000-square-foot center will include retail, dining and office space. It will house a Dillard's, JC Penney and AMC Theatres.
Childress Klein Properties, General Growth Properties and Belk are developing the 1.3 million-square-foot Bridges at Mint Hill Lifestyle Center outside Charlotte, N.C. The open-air center will feature a Belk, two other freestanding department stores, restaurants and a movie theater. It is slated for a spring 2007 opening.

Chelsea Property Group opened the 178,000-square-foot first phase of the Toki Premium Outlets near Nagoya, Japan, located between Tokyo and Osaka. The center has 85 international retailers including Adidas, Coach, Timberland and Versace. A second phase is planned, but no further details were provided.
Commercial real estate firm Colliers Seeley International named John Beaney as senior vice president of retail leasing and sales. Beaney will create and implement a market development plan in the Western U.S. He formerly served as senior vice president of the Western region for Katz & Associates.
South Bend, Ind.-based Holladay Properties will develop Seventy West, a 375-acre, $750 million mixed-use project located next to the Indianapolis International Airport. The center will have over one million square feet of retail, and groundbreaking is set for summer 2005.

Lawrence was formerly the director of construction and new development at Tri-Star Realty Partner.
