Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed as the leasing and management agent for Centre at Glen Burnie, a 419,858-sq.-ft. retail property in Glen Burnie, Md.
The center was developed in 1963. It is currently 85 percent leased. Target, hhgregg, Office Depot, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Toys ‘R’ Us serve as anchors for the property. Other tenants include Chick-fil-A, FootLocker, GNC, Payless ShoeSource, Radio Shack, Five Guys, Famous Footwear and DOTS.

EHB, IDB to Build New Retail Center in Summerlin, Nevada
EHB Cos. and IDB Group USA will develop a 200,000-sq.-ft. retail center in Summerlin, Nev.
A specialty grocery store will anchor the property. Other tenants at the center will include large and mid-sized apparel, accessories, beauty and sporting goods stores. Ted Baker, of NewMarket Advisors, will serve as the leasing representative for the property.
EHB and IDB plan to open the development in 2013.
Vornado to Take Over Retail Space at New York’s Marriott Marquis Times Square
Vornado Realty Trust entered into a lease with Host Hotels & Resorts Inc., under which Vornado will redevelop the retail and signage components of the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square Hotel, located between 45th and 46th Streets on Broadway in New York City. The lease also contains an option for Vornado to take over the ownership of the property, based on cash flow.
Vornado plans to spend up to $140 million on the project, including a substantial expansion of the space, the conversion of the below-grade parking garage into retail and installing 300 feet of LED signs.
Revolutions Comes to Rock Hill Galleria
Revolutions, a family-friendly environment, signed a deal to open a 66,640-sq.-ft. facility at Rock Hill Galleria in Rock Hill, S.C. The facility will feature 30 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a lazer maze, a two-story lazer arena, bumper cars, soft play, a redemption arcade with more than 70 high-tech arcade and video games, a full restaurant and bar, a 100-seat sports theater and live music and dancing. Revolutions plans to open at the center in the winter of 2012.
In addition, Belk will invest $6 million in a total remodel and a 20,000-sq.-ft. expansion of its existing department store. Construction will start early next year, with a grand re-opening scheduled for the fall of 2013. Belk will remain open throughout the project.
Aldi to Open at Schiller Park Commons in Illinois
Aldi signed a 20-year lease for a 17,866-sq.-ft. store at Schiller Park Commons in Schiller Park, Ill. The center is currently undergoing redevelopment, scheduled for completion in late 2012. Rick Scardino, of Lee & Associates, represented the landlord in the transaction. Craig Lillibridge, of CB Richard Ellis, represented the tenant.
Crocs Leases Space For New Manhattan Store
Crocs signed a lease with the Riese Org. for a 13,600-sq.-ft. store at 152 West 34 St. in New York City.
Mark Stempel, of CityVest Realty Corp., represented the landlord in the transaction. Steven Greenberg, of The Greenberg Group, represented the tenant.
Other Notable News
McCollom Realty Ltd. and Evo Development Inc. will develop a 13,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in West Milwaukee, Wis. The center already has a least of committed tenants, including a drive-thru Starbucks, Wisconsin Vision, ATI Physical Therapy, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Qdoba Mexican Grill. Construction on the project began in July.
Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services promoted Bill Rose to vice president. Rose currently serves as national director of the firm’s national retail group and co-national director of its net leased properties group. He has been with the firm since September 2003 and is also chairman for the Western Division Operations of ICSC.
Several new restaurants signed leases at the NewPark Mall’s new food court in Newark, Calif. Bobby’s Bamboo Grill opened an 825-sq.-ft. location at the center. The Crepe Bar will open a 666-sq.-ft. unit and Taqueria La Tita a 613-sq.-ft. unit in August.
Crossroads Cos. LLC appointed Al Giglio as owner’s representative. In his new position, Giglio will be responsible for shopping center agencies and oversight of the company’s information technology and legal divisions. He has more than 25 years of experience in real estate.
