Lake Nona Property Holdings, LLC will develop Lake Nona, a 7,000-acre master-planned community in Orlando, Fla. The project will include 950,000 square feet of retail space, 950,000 square feet of office space, 9,000 residential units, a 4.9 million-square-foot airport support district and 2,250 hotel villas.
Fremont Investment & Loan hired Shawn Wardlow as vice president of its commercial real estate division. Prior to joining Fremont, Wardlow was project executive with C.W. Driver.
Daniel Corporation, Selig Enterprises, Inc. and the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund will develop 1010 Midtown, a 630,000-square-foot mixed-use project in Atlanta, Ga. The project will contain 38,000 square feet of retail space and 443 condominiums. Completion is scheduled for early 2009.
Leggat McCall Properties, LLC hired Karen Edlund as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Leggat McCall, Edlund was senior vice president of finance with MMA Financial, Inc.
Thomas Enterprises, Inc. awarded the design contract for Prospect Park, a mixed-use park in Alpharetta, Ga., to Wakefield Beasley & Associates. The development will include 780,000 square feet of retail space, an 18-screen movie theater and 260,000 square feet of office space. Completion is scheduled for the spring of 2008.
Federal Realty Investment Trust is expanding Bethesda Row, the restaurant and shopping destination in Bethesda, Md. The new project will include 43,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space and 180 apartments. Completion is scheduled for the spring of 2008.

Moss & Associates topped off Downtown Dadeland, the seven-building, mixed-use project in Kendall, Fla. The project will include 125,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 416 condominiums and a 1,000-car parking garage. Completion is scheduled for March of 2007.

General Growth Properties, New York State Teachers' Retirement System and institutional investors advised by JP Morgan Asset Management will open the Village at Bridgewater Commons in September. The 95,000-square-foot project is an expansion of an existing mall in Bridgewater, N.J.
