Whole Foods Market stores in Manhattan in early June offered to take shoppers home for free — via rickshaw. Each day, the chain provided a fleet of pedicabs between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and again from 4 to 7 p.m. The rides began at the Whole Foods location on Monday, June 8 in Chelsea and continued at its Tribeca, Columbus Circle, Union Square and Bowery stores throughout the week.
