Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant added its fourth regional office, with a location in Miami joining branches it operates in Boston, Miami and Washington, D.C. “The dynamics of South Florida are such that it is becoming like Boston or Washington, where there's now a barrier to entry,” says Edens & Avant CEO Terry Brown.
The company plans to fully staff the office within the next 24 months, meaning it will bring leasing, development, construction, property management and asset management capabilities into the office. For now, Edens & Avant has hired Jami Passer (pictured) as vice president, South Florida, to head the office and oversee development, redevelopment and acquisition activities in this market.
