Transwestern Commercial Services Greg May has been promoted to senior vice president, leasing and marketing, for Chicago-based Transwestern Commercial Services. May, who joined Transwestern's Orange County, Calif. office three years ago, will continue to focus on pursuing leasing, acquisition and development opportunities in the San Diego and Orange County regions.
JonesLangLaSalle The Americas retail division of Chicago-based JonesLangLaSalle has hired John M. Millar as its new executive vice president and managing director, shopping centers. Millar will direct all shopping center retail strategies for the company's 55 property, 40 million sq. ft. portfolio, including leasing, management, tenant coordination, and consumer marketing. Prior to joining JonesLangLaSalle, Millar was executive vice president of Chicago-based General Growth Properties for 11 years.
Staubach Retail Services Mike Neal has been named vice president and director of the Southeast region for Dallas-based Staubach retail services. Neal will oversee the day-to-day operations of Staubach's retail offices in Atlanta and Boca Raton, Fla., as well as all operations in the Southeast. Before joining Staubach, Neal served as senior vice president of Merchants Resource Realty in Atlanta. He was named the Atlanta Retail Board's No. 1 Retail Broker for 1999, closing more than $86 million in retail transactions last year.
Lowe's Wilkesboro, N.C.-based Lowe's Companies Inc., the world's second-largest home improvement retailer, has appointed Thomas E. Whiddon to the newly created position of executive vice president, logistics and technology. Whiddon had previously served as executive vice president and CFO for Lowe's. Bob Tillman, Lowe's chairman and CEO, says in a statement that the new position was necessary because "the importance of an integrated logistics and technology network is more important now than ever before."
Deloitte & Touche David Voigt has been named a partner in the Management Solutions and Services practice in the Chicago office of Deloitte & Touche. Voigt will provide clients with implementation and integration of business process improvements, as well as real estate and e-business consulting. Prior to this promotion, he was a senior manager with the firm.
Newmark Merrill Tarzana, Calif.-based NewMark Merrill Cos. has appointed Kenneth Self as Vice President of Operations. Mr. Self will oversee all management and operations for NewMark Merrill's portfolio of more than 36 shopping centers. Prior to joining NewMark Merrill, he was vice president, project administration for the Southland Cos.
R. J. Brunelli & Co. Nick Romagnoli has joined Old Bridge, N. J.-based R. J. Brunelli & Co. as executive vice president and general counsel. His responsibilities will include anchor tenant services and new development project services, especially on supermarket-anchored centers. Most recently, Romagnoli served as general manager of real estate and general counsel for Elizabeth, N.J.-based Wakefern Food Corp.
MCG Architecture Pasadena-based MCG Architecture has named Mark Giles director of design for the firm's Pasadena office. Giles will oversee all operations out of that office, and will also provide support for MCG's Denver and San Francisco locations. He has been with MCG since 1997.
LoopNet San Francisco-based LoopNet, Inc. (www.LoopNet.com) has named Warren Lyons as its chief operating officer and president. Lyons will lead all of LoopNet's operations including sales, marketing, engineering, finance, human resources and business development.
