Insignia/ESG Inc. Frederick J. Meno has been named executive director of the Retail Mall Services Group, a newly formed operating unit of Insignia/ESG Inc., New York. Operating from the Dallas office, Meno will be responsible for retail mall new business development as well as property management and leasing. Previously, Meno was senior managing director for Insignia Retail Group.Grubb & Ellis Co.
Robert C. Nosal has been appointed district manager for the Cleveland office of Northbrook, Ill.-based Grubb & Ellis Co. He will provide direction for the 37 transaction professionals in the Cleveland office and will report to Michael McKiernan, president of transaction services for the central region. Most recently, Nosal served as senior vice president, senior marketing consultant and director of Cleveland's office services group.
The Mills Corp. Rochelle Lipsitz has been promoted to group vice president of leasing and business development in the specialty leasing department for The Mills Corp., Arlington, Va. Lipsitz will be responsible for all leasing functions for the company's international projects. She will continue to handle the business development initiated in her previous position of vice president of international business.
The company has also hired several new management personnel. Carlos Bernal has been named senior vice president of food and beverage business development. Formerly with Host Marriott Services, Bernal will be responsible for all food and beverage strategic planning, development and operations for The Mills Corp. and its subsidiaries. Making the move with Bernal is Kevin Erickson, who has assumed the title of vice president of food and beverage business development. Erickson will be responsible for all food and beverage services development and operations.
Also, Mark Dymek has been appointed senior vice president of retail operations. Dymek will be responsible for directing and coordinating new business. Dymek was formerly with Secured Capital and Kenneth Leventhal. Timothy Rhoades has been named vice president of acquisitions. His primary responsibility will be to evaluate existing retail real estate acquisition opportunities. Rhoades was formerly with Enterprise Asset Management Inc. and ERE Yarmouth.
CB Richard Ellis Thomas P. Bohlinger has rejoined Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis as senior vice president for the investment properties-institutional group. Bohlinger has held senior-level positions with Jones Lang Wootton, W. Ross Campbell Co. and CB Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis). He returns to lead the investment properties group, which is responsible for equity investments, joint ventures and debt financing for institutional clients.
Chicago Title and Trust Co. Toshie Y. Davis has been elected vice president of investor relations and financial analysis for Chicago-based Chicago Title and Trust Co. In her new position, Davis will be responsible for improving the company's current operating and financial analysis methods and upgrading its management information systems. She will also be responsible for the investor relations department. Before joining Chicago Title, Davis was a management consultant at CSC Index.
The Rouse Co. The board of directors of The Rouse Co., Columbia, Md., has approved new responsibilities for three senior officers.
Douglas A. McGregor has been promoted to vice chairman and COO from executive vice president. Since joining the company in 1972, McGregor has held a variety of positions and was named executive vice president in 1990.
Jeffrey H. Donahue has been promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president. Donahue, who joined the company in 1973 and has also held numerous positions, will continue in his role as chief financial officer and director of finance. He will also be responsible for legal, controllership and tax functions.
Jerome D. Smalley has also been promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president. With the company since 1979, Smalley became senior vice president and director of commercial and office development in 1993. He will be responsible for all commercial development and new business activities, including acquisition efforts.
Boston Properties Inc. Douglas T. Linde has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president for financial and capital markets for Boston-based Boston Properties Inc. Linde will be responsible for all capital raising for the company, as well as financial strategy, planning and acquisitions. Linde joined the firm in January 1997 as vice president responsible for identifying and executing new business opportunities.
Welsh Cos. Laurie Wedmann has been promoted to director of corporate real estate services. In her expanded role, Wedmann will continue to focus on the corporate real estate services team. In addition, she will be responsible for business development, infrastructure systems and community involvement for all of the company's divisions.
