Donahue Schriber
Mark Whitfield is the new executive vice president, development, at Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Donahue Schriber. A licensed architect and general contractor, Whitfield joined the company in 1990. He serves on Donahue Schriber's executive committee and is responsible for both development and acquisitions, including related entitlement, design and construction.
Publix Supermarkets
Charlie Jenkins Jr. is the new CEO of Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix Supermarkets Inc. The 32-year company veteran replaces his cousin, Howard Jenkins, who will continue as chairman of the board. Charlie Jenkins started his career with Publix in 1969 as assistant to the vice president of real estate. Since then, he served in a variety of capacities, most recently as chairman of the executive committee.
Westwood Group
Westwood Management Associates, the management arm of Muskegon, Mich.-based Westwood Group has a new president — Susanna Stutesman. Stutesman, who has held the position of COO of Westwood Management Associates since its formation in 1998, will oversee day-to-day operations of the company's existing projects. She will also take an active role in the investment and development side of the business.
CB Richard Ellis
Calvin Frese is the new COO/Americas of Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis. In this newly established position, Frese will oversee the financial planning and strategic operation of all business units within the Americas with the exception of CB Richard Ellis' independently-operated L.J. Melody and CBRE Investors companies.
In addition, he will handle the company's shared service functions, including information technology, information management, field operations and web services. Frese, who will remain at the firm's Chicago office, most recently served as executive managing director of the company's central region.
Ripco Real Estate Corp./Chainlinks
Eric Knopping recently joined Conshohocken, Pa.-based Ripco Real Estate Corp. as director of investment services. His focus will be growing Ripco's investment sales and mortgage brokerage divisions. Knopping will also consult with clients that are considering refinancing, buying and selling existing properties and those seeking construction and permanent financing for future developments.
Sheldon Good & Co. International
Steven Good is the chairman and CEO of newly formed Sheldon Good & Co. International LLC. The Chicago-based corporate partnership is the result of the merger of Steven Good Partners International LLC and Sheldon Good & Co. International and its subsidiaries. This new firm, billed as the first national real estate auction firm to create a corporate partnership of all its operating officers, will auction retail, estate home, timberland, resort and other properties.
Steven Good's father, Sheldon Good, will serve as chairman emeritus of the new company. He has signed a long-term agreement to continue developing new business as a broker for the firm.
Edgemark Asset Management
Richard Robey is Oak Brook, Ill.-based Edgemark Asset Management's new senior vice president, asset management. Robey will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, tenant services, safety and maintenance functions. Before joining Edgemark, Robey served as senior general manager with Chicago-based Bradley Real Estate.
