Partnering… it's how we work; that's how we create exciting projects. Whether it's a new development or repositioning an existing mall, we believe that our process — collaborating with our clients from concept to finished project — is how we achieve this. Integrating great design with sustainable practices enables us to create projects that are responsible to our clients and the environment.
The Promenade at Coconut Creek, developed by Stanbery Development, is an example of that collaborative process. Opened in November 2008, this 23-acre, LEED mixed-use project was designed for the new downtown district for the City of Coconut Creek, Fla. Serving as a catalyst, it is one of the first planned areas in the country to become a LEED district.
The design challenge for repositioning Florida Mall in Orlando was to bring a fresh, sophisticated look while blending in with the existing mall, one of the country's largest single-story malls with 1.7 million square feet. Scheduled for opening this fall, the expansion for Simon Property Group is adding 139,000 square feet of retail and restaurants.
While very different, both The Promenade at Coconut Creek and Florida Mall have created spaces that encourage a sense of community and interaction — a place where residents can shop, play, work and live.
