City of Industry, Calif. - Robinsons-May, an anchor at the 1.2 million-sq.-ft. Puente Hills Mall, has announced plans for a major remodel and re-merchandising program. The comprehensive remodel of the 150,000-sq.-ft. department store will begin in early 2001 and is scheduled for a fall 2001 completion. Components of the remodel include new fixtures, lighting and visual presentations. The merchandising focus will expand to a broader selection of fashion apparel including popular brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, all of which will receive special focus.
Robinsons-May's remodeling coincides with the remerchandising of Puente Hills Mall as a whole. The center is bringing in national retailers and lifestyle merchants to target a larger chunk of the mall's 367,000-person, high-income trade area.
Robinsons-May, headquartered in Los Angeles, boasts annual sales of $2.1 billion at its 55 locations. Puente Hills Malls is a development of San Francisco-based The Krausz Cos. Inc.
