Visitors to Los Angeles' Pacific Design Center can't mistake where they are. This 25-foot-high stainless steel chair and a similarly scaled replica of a lamp clearly identify the building, which is home to 130 interior designers' showrooms. Selbert Perkins Design of Playa del Ray, Calif., which created the monumental pieces, as well as the center's interior and exterior wayfinding systems, brings wit and clarity to signage at retail locations around the world.
