Headquartered in Coral Gables, Fla., Beame Architectural Partnership is a 40-person firm that for the past two decades has specialized in the design of retail and mixed-use destinations. Although each of our projects is unique in its own way, whether it stands in the United States, Latin America, or in the Caribbean, they all share a common design philosophy that characterizes all our work.
It's a philosophy that demands the design make economic sense. It must do its part to ensure that the completed, functioning project, whether a power center, a suburban lifestyle center, or an urban mixed-use Main Street center, delivers a return on its investment.
To us, this means applying innovative, imaginative, cutting-edge architecture to address the unforgiving demands of the marketplace and the laws of economics. We start with the merchandising and business fundamentals of the project. Then we turn up the design volume, not to make a statement, but to create inviting, exciting places where shoppers enjoy spending time and money. We believe it's an approach that in the end graces the landscape and the bottom line.
Typically, these projects include retail, office, entertainment, hotel and residential use and range in size from as intimate as 60 acres — often in urban settings — to as expansive as 1,100 acres. But recognizing that even terms like mixed-use can mean very different things in different communities and cultures, the component parts of these projects will differ from one part of the country to another, and, of course, one country to another.
We address those differences, and then translate them into destinations that attract tenants and customers, and bring clients back to us year after year.
