Mall security officers may have played no role in stopping the mall shooting that occurred in Utah last month (see story on p. 85), but there is one “crime” that was stamped out at the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing, Pa.: Breastfeeding. Shopper Leigh Bellini was sitting on a bench in the mall food court feeding her child, Enzo. Then a security guard, after allegedly receiving a complaint, asked her to cover up and threatened to call police and ban them from the mall permanently. In the end Leigh said she was allowed to let Enzo finish nursing.
