Don't know how Jesse Wong could combine Asian, French and American culinary traditions in one entrée? You may benefit from watching the chef at work, then. A huge, glass-enclosed kitchen is the centerpiece of this new Maryland restaurant, by Davidson Design & Development Consultants. A semicircular sushi bar provides front-row viewing for guests, and more traditional tiered seating radiates outward. Judges were impressed by the openness of the plan, and got a chuckle from the chromed-plated woks and chopsticks installed on the muted walls.
