Ernst & Young LLP has appointed Thom Bogle Area Market leader for the real estate advisory services group for the Southeast region. The move brings the total size of Ernst & Young’s Atlanta-based real estate practice to 20 people.
Bogle, who most recently worked at the firm’s headquarters in Manhattan, will relocate to Atlanta where he will coordinate corporate real estate strategy, occupancy cost reductions, transactions, construction, energy, due diligence and technology. He also will oversee advisory services for clients such as pension funds, mortgage conduits, large portfolios, opportunity funds, brokerages and private equity sources.
"This is a complicated time as companies are attempting to stay nimble while carrying significant investments in real estate and related operations," Bogle said in a statement. "While most companies and service providers are concentrating on utilization levels and surplus property, we are developing solutions that balance sensitive priorities, including finance and public perception; our clients are demanding a comprehensive analysis, and increasing our resources in the fast-growing Southeastern markets is an appropriate response."
