Picture a typical mall food court. Now throw that conception out the window. Westfield Group has set a new standard for what's possible with in-mall dining with the redesigned dining area at the Westfield Century City. As part of the property's $160-million renovation it started from square one. It's reimagining downplays vendor signage and instead put a huge emphasis on having all the food sellers blend seamlessly. Designed to appeal to adjacent office clientele gone are fast food operators. Instead the area features restaurant-quality food, teak tables and chairs and even place settings. (You won't find paper plates and plastic trays here.) The terrace includes both indoor and outdoor dining. And the space is accentuated by floating planters, wood and steel canopies and natural lighting.
