Saruli Palumbo and Ruscio Studio Inc. completely transformed the Parasuco Flagship store in Montreal. The owners took control of the second floor of their space within a historic 100-year-old bank building. The new design, then, had to convey a new slick and fresh feel for the upscale denim seller while at the same time respecting the bank's historic structure. The designers retained many of the bank's elements, including mouldings, ceiling heights and exposed brick in addition to the actual bank vault doors. The classic elements are complemented by modern touches, such as a giant flowing chandelier as well as a custom metal chain-link screen, both of which connect the first and second floors.
