SAUK VILLAGE, IL—Principle Construction Corp. has completed a 267,000-sq.ft. manufacturing facility for Winpak Portion Packaging here at the corner of Mark Collins and LogistiCenter drives.
Site owner DP Partners hired Principle to build the facility for its new tenant Winpak, a packaging creation firm, on the 29-acre site. The building includes a warehouse, production area, offices, maintenance area, grinding room, chemical storage room, utilities room and printing area. Other features of the 32’ clear building are 15 exterior docks, two exterior drive-in doors, 25 trailer parking stalls, and a rail siding for product delivery.
Mike Long served as director of project management and Tom Sterbens served as superintendent for Principle. Harris Architects provided architectural services and Jacob & Hefner Associates provided the civil engineering service. Justin Fierz with Lee & Associates represented Winpak in the transaction and George Cibula with Darwin Realty and Development Corp. worked on behalf of DP Partners.
