RAMONA, CA—C.W. Driver has completed construction Palomar Health’s Ramona Ambulatory Care Center, a new $4.5 million satellite clinic.
In 2004, district voters passed Proposition BB, a $496-million bond measure to upgrade facilities and build new ones, including the new Palomar Medical Center and the Ramona Ambulatory Care Center. The latter, a 7,600-sq.-ft. outpatient medical clinic at 13th and Main, will open to the community in March. Designed by San Diego-based Mascari Warner Architects, the facility will provide adult and pediatric primary care physician services, urgent care, radiology services and outpatient diagnostic testing as well as specialty services and programs, such as health education and prevention classes.
The building is co-owned by Palomar Health and developer Pacific Medical Buildings, with Arch Health Partners, an affiliated physician organization of Palomar, as its exclusive tenant. Michael Shanahan, director of Palomar Health facilities planning, says in a statement that there’s another three available acres near the new site that could hold a future expansion.
