Jones Lang LaSalle was appointed as the leasing and management agent for the Galleria at Fort Lauderdale in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and as management agent for Vero Beach Outlets in Vero Beach, Fla.

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale is a 964,423-sq.-ft. super-regional mall. Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and Dillard’s anchor the property. Susan Longley and Andrew Dieringer will handle this assignment on behalf of Jones Lang LaSalle.
Vero Beach Outlets is a 328,254-sq.-ft. regional outlet center. Tenants at the property include Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, J. Crew Factory and Chico’s Outlet, among others.
David Street to Serve as Leasing Agent for 900 North Michigan Shops
Davis Street Land Co. L.L.C. added third-party leasing, management, tenant coordination and construction to its list of services. Recently, JMB Financial Advisors appointed Davis Street as the leasing agent and tenant coordinator for 900 North Michigan Shops, a 475,000-sq.-ft. retail property on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. The assignment also includes street retail on Rush and Walton Streets.
“The assignment from JMB Financial is a testament to our company’s reputation for excellence in leasing high-quality retail assets,” said Karen Land, leasing executive with Davis Street, in a statement. “We look forward to growing the leasing, property management, tenant coordination and construction services business within the retail and mixed-use community.”
Matanky Realty to Lease the Shoppes at Schererville in Indiana
Matanky Realty Group has been appointed as the exclusive leasing agent for the Shoppes at Schererville in Schererville, Ind. The property contains 137,712 sq. ft. of space. Tenants at the center include Big Lots, Lowes, Petsmart and Jo-Ann, among others.
Sabre Forms Investment Sales Division
Sabre Real Estate Group LLC formed Sabre Investment Group to handle investment sales. Previously the firm specialized in retail tenant and landlord representation in the New York metropolitan region. Guy Canzoneri and Corey Gluckstal will lead the new practice.
Prior to joining Sabre, Canzoneri and Gluckstal ran the investment sales division in the Holbrook office of Sperry Van Ness.
Costco Opens a Huntington Beach Location
Costco opened a 154,000-sq.-ft. store at Bella Terra in Huntington Beach, Calif. The warehouse club will occupy a former Mervyns space at the property. DJM Capital Partners owns the center. The new Costco created 225 new jobs for local residents.
Tom Thumb Signs Deal at Texas Property
Tom Thumb Food & Pharmacy signed a lease with Direct Development for a 59,000-sq.-ft. store at Cross Timbers Village in Flower Mound, Texas.
Boutique Movie Theater to Anchor Bethesda’s New Retail Center
Silverspot signed an agreement with The Peterson Cos. and DRI Development Services LLC to open a 12-screen 50,000-sq.-ft. boutique movie theater at Rock Spring Centre in Bethesda, Md. Peterson and DRI will break ground on the property in the summer of 2012. Silverspot is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014.

Kmart, Best Buy Sign Extension Leases with Agree Realty Corp.
Kmart signed two-year lease extensions with Agree Realty Corp. for a 90,470-sq.-ft. store in Oscoda, Mich. and a 52,320-sq.-ft. store in Grayling, Mich.
In addition, Best Buy signed a three-year extension lease with the company for a 52,000-sq.-ft. store at North Lakeland Plaza in Lakeland, Fla.
In a separate announcement, Wawa Inc. appointed Agree Realty as its development partner in Florida. Wawa and Agree entered into three ground lease agreements in the state.
Ross Stores Joins Line-Up at Woodbridge Crossing in Texas
Ross Stores Inc. signed a lease with Direct Development for a 22,000-sq.-ft. store at Woodbridge Crossing Shopping Center in Wylie, Texas. The retailer plans to open this fall.
RKF and RFR Bring Three New Tenants to New York’s 980 Madison Avenue
RKF and RFR negotiated three leases totaling more than 10,000 sq. ft. on behalf of Aby Rosen at 980 Madison Ave. in New York City.
Rebecca Taylor signed a 4,338-sq.-ft. lease, Sandro signed a 2,037-sq.-ft. lease and Vince signed a 3,770-sq.-ft. lease at the property.

BOKA Restaurant Group Appoints Summit Design for Little Goat Project
Stephanie Izard and BOKA Restaurant Group appointed Summit Design + Build LLC as the general contractor for the interior renovation and expansion of Little Goat, a 10,000-sq.-ft. diner/bar/bakery at 820 W. Randolph St. in Chicago.
The project will involve stripping down the building to its basic structure and installing a new custom elevator, multiple custom kitchens, a 100-seat diner, a barista bar with walk-up access, a boutique bakery, and a private dining space on the expanded second floor.
Mark Heffron, Summit’s senior project manager, will oversee this assignment. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.

Coyote Management L.P. promoted Kymberley Scalia to vice president of corporate marketing. She previously worked as corporate director of marketing. In her new position, Scalia will be responsible for all day-to-day marketing programs, overseeing the firm’s new marketing subsidiary, Coyote Creative, and all key asset management and third party projects. Scalia has been with Coyote Management since 2001.
SRS Real Estate Partners hired Dafna Nadulek as senior associate in its South Florida office. In her new position, Nadulek will be responsible for developing SRS Urban and tenant representation. She has more than 15 years of experience in retail sales and marketing. Previously, she operated her own shoe and accessory boutiques in New York City.
Ferrandino & Son Inc. promoted Alyson Bruu to director of marketing. Previously, she served as marketing manager. Bruu is responsible for strategic marketing, corporate communications, advertising, public relations and online and social marketing campaigns.
