CALABASAS, CA—After a $6 million renovation, The Anza – A Calabasas Hotel will open in Calabasas, Calif. this May. The hotel, located at 23627 Calabasas Rd., will be the first independent boutique hotel in the area. Atlanta-based CMMI LLC is the project architect and interior designer. John Hardy Group will oversee the renovation.
The renovation will include a major overhaul to the interior and some minor adjustments to the exterior. The lobby, guest rooms, bathrooms and pool will all be renovated to fit the new casual and sophisticated design aesthetic. The design hopes to combine the style of Los Angeles with the old-town-feel of Calabasas.
For the past 15 years, the property was a Country Inn & Suites. In July 2012 Channel West Group and Arris Investments LLC purchased the 122-key hotel, which was built in 1987.
