CINCINNATI—A partnership of Steiner + Associates and Bucksbaum Retail Properties have announced plans to break ground on the 1.1-million-sq.-ft. Liberty Center project here at the new $55 million Liberty Way Interchange.
The property, the beginning of what may become a larger regional development hub, will include 600,000 sq. ft. of retail, 100,000 sq. ft. of office, a 135-room hotel and 220 multifamily units. The retail will feature at least one 200,000-sq.-ft. department store and a 14-screen theater with dining.
A significant portion of Liberty’s inline retail will front the project’s three main parks and a series of retail and restaurant pavilions. The easternmost park will be located within the 180,000 square foot enclosed portion of the project. The two larger outdoor parks will include “The Green,” a family-oriented space complete with pop fountains and other interactive features, and a grander and very different park space “The Square” anchors the west end of the site. The property, to be located at I-75 and SR 129, is scheduled to open in spring 2015.
