LEBANON, IN—Subaru of America has hired San Francisco-based Prologis Inc. for the construction of a 715,000-sq.-ft. distribution center here at Prologis Park Lebanon.
The cross-dock facility, to be located in this Northwest Indianapolis submarket, will be used as a regional parts distribution center by the automaker. Gary Palanjian, vice president of parts and service for SOA, said in a statement that the new facility will allow the firm to better serve its retailers, as well as support growing operations at its manufacturing plant in Lafayette, Ind.
Jim McGill, a senior vice president at Prologis, said Indianapolis remains a compelling regional market. "The record low supply of large industrial facilities continues to drive build-to-suit solutions in many markets around the country,” he said in the statement.
