COMMERCE, CA—American International Industries has purchased the 45,000-sq.-ft. industrial property at 5858 Smithway St. The manufacturer and distributor of beauty and grooming products paid $5.6 million for the property.
Having been built in 2004, the building is one of the newer industrial properties in the area. It includes 30 ft. ceiling clearance and an ESFR sprinkler system. American International Industries will use the space to expand its cosmetics manufacturing. The company’s headquarters is located nearby on Gaspar Avenue.
Jack Cline and Jeff Bethel of Lee & Associates represented the buyer. Tom O’Loughlin and Jeff Huberman also of Lee & Associates worked on behalf of the seller, Tansavatdi Family Trust.
