PLAINSBORO, NJ—Novo Nordisk’s U.S. headquarters, located at 800 Scudders Mill Road in Plainsboro, N.J., is officially open for business. The Denmark-based pharmaceutical company has begun relocating its employees to its new space this month.
LCOR and Ivy Equities, along with Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. redeveloped the property for the pharmaceutical company. A good example of an adaptive reuse project, the companies were able to incorporate 95 percent of recycled material from the previous facility, which served Merrill Lynch, to deliver a build-to-suit space for the pharma company.
In August 2011, Novo Nordisk, Ivy Equities and LCOR partnered with Intercontinental Real Estate Corp., which provided the equity funding for the project, announced their $215 million plans to redevelop the existing 770,000-sq.-ft. office building, which is part of the Princeton Forrestal Center.
The renovated property includes upgraded electrical and mechanical systems and has been granted LEED-Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
