ProPlas Purchases Industrial Property, Plans Relocation

GARDEN GROVE, CA—ProPlas Technologies has purchased a 40,274-sq.-ft. industrial property in Garden Grove, Calif. for $4.18 million. The plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing company will relocate from its current facility in Gardena, Calif.

“It’s been a 5-year project to locate the right property at the right price since ProPlas Technologies has precision equipment that required heavy power, high ceilings and wide column spacing,” said Brandon Carrillo, senior associate at Lee & Associates, in a statement. “ProPlas saw the value in keeping its business local and opted not to outsource the work away from California.”

Carrillo, along with President Greg Gill and Associate Dylan Espley, represented ProPlas in the transaction. Mike Bouma and Paul Caputo of Voit represented the seller Serella Revocable Trust.

Prior to signing the deal for the Garden Grove property, ProPlas had committed to a Compton property in escrow, but difficult parking and zoning requirements had ProPlas looking elsewhere.

“We have chosen to remain committed to the growing West Coast medical, dental and precision molding markets,” said Scott Taylor, president of ProPlas. “Our new facility will give us the opportunity to upgrade many of our capabilities and facilities while being even more accessible to our core customer base.”
