Camden Cares encourages all employees of the REIT to spend at least 8 hours volunteering for a cause that is either Veteran or housing-focused.
Among the Houston projects being supported by Camden’s more than 500 area employees:
Working in teams of 20 throughout September, more than 300 employees from Camden’s corporate office in Houston will make repairs to 13 homes with Rebuilding Houston, Houston’s largest community outreach organization. Work will begin on the first 7 homes on Wednesday, September 11 from 9:00am-5:00pm, mostly in Sunnyside. On Wednesday, September 25, Camden will continue work on six more homes.
On September 13, 250 employees from Camden’s Houston city team will spend the entire day (9:00am-5:00pm) helping to build two new houses at Camp Hope, an interim housing facility for military and their families with PTSD. Camp Hope is located at 9724 Derrington Road in Houston.
