Columbus-based Steiner + Associates, noted for being the team behind the influential Easton Town Center, has brought its act to Glendale, Wis. There the firm is bringing the 1.2-million-square-foot Bayshore project to the suburb of Milwaukee. The mixed-use center will include retail, restaurant, office and residential space and is a redevelopment of the former Bayshore Mall.
The $200 million project, a partnership with the mall's original developer Dallas-based Corrigan Properties Inc. and New York City-based Mall Properties, blends open-air retail and entertainment with 200,000 square feet of office and more than 100 residential units.
Bayshore introduces national and regional retailers including: Aèropostale, Children's Place, Wilson's Leather, Limited Too, Venetian Nail Salon, Zales, Rocky Rococo's, the Chocolate Factory, Bath and Body Works, Talbots, White House/Black Market and LensCrafters. The redeveloped center boasts the first two-story H&M in Wisconsin. Several tenants at its predecessor, including Gap, Victoria's Secret, Gymboree, and D.O.C. have also relocated to the new center. And, the Kohl's store at Bayshore has reopened featuring the chain's new format. Restaurateurs choosing Bayshore to debut their concepts in Wisconsin include Cameron's Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, and Devon's Seafood Grille.
