Lender Processing Services Inc., (LPS) a provider of technology services to the real estate and mortgage industries, has chosen Maponics, a Norwich, Vt.-based data firm, to provide information for its local property database searches.
Through the agreement with Lender Processing’s real estate division, ZIP code and neighborhood-based searches, maps and other information available through LPS’s real estate group, desktop and Web-based information distribution networks will use Maponics neighborhood and zip code definitions.
“It helps our users pull accurate, community level information from our database of millions of properties nationwide,” said John Hensley, chief product and technology officer for LPS Real Estate Group, in a statement.
“LPS Real Estate Group is a central player in the real estate industry and Maponics,” said Darrin Clement, CEO of Maponics. LPS provides quarterly map updates for the real estate industry, and ongoing expansion of features accompanying each dataset.
Approximately 50% of all U.S. mortgages by dollar volume are serviced using Jacksonville, Fla.-based LPS, according to the company. LPS also offers proprietary mortgage and real estate data and analytics for the mortgage and capital markets industries.
