The New Republic Sets Up New Office at 60 Madison Ave.

NEW YORK—The New Republic Magazine has singed a 3,750-sq.-ft. lease at 60 Madison Ave. Jovani Rampersad, commercial leasing director for The Moinian Group, negotiated the lease on behalf of the owner, while Elie Reis of Rice & Associates L.L.C. represented the tenant.

Comprised of 220,000 sq. ft. and spanning 12 stories, 60 Madison Ave. is located between West 26th and 27th streets in Manhattan.

The new lease for The New Republic will serve as an executive and editorial office location for the publication, which was founded in 1914 and currently headquartered in Washington, D.C. The magazine focuses on American politics, foreign policy and culture.

Located in the city’s Design District, 60 Madison Ave. offers tenants fiber optic direct connectivity, a freight entrance, and a full-time attended lobby with 24/7 access. Other tenants at the property include Weight Watchers and Strawberry Frog.
