NEW YORK—Fashion designer Yigal Azrouël has signed a lease to occupy space at 1011 Madison Avenue on the corner of East 78th Street. The new boutique is slated to open this fall and will occupy 900 sq. ft. of ground-floor space, as well as 900 sq. ft. in the basement.
Yigal Azrouël opened its flagship store at 408 West 14th Street in 2003.
Winick Realty Group LLC Executive Vice President Lori Shabtai, who worked with Associate Director Kelly Gedinsky on behalf of the tenant. Shaun Moamem of Plaza Realty represented landlord Dr. Soufer in the Madison Avenue lease.
“I have been looking for some time on Madison and this store was what I was waiting for,” said Azrouël, who serves as president and creative director of the company.
Born and raised in Israel of French–Moroccan descent, Yigal Azrouël draws inspiration from art, culture, architecture, nature and New York City.
