Of the 10 largest hotels in the world by room count, it turns out eight are located in Las Vegas, according to research from STR and STR Global, which provide data and benchmarking studies on the hotel industry. What else do the world’s largest hotels have in common? Nine feature casinos on their premises, as well as in many cases malls. And a disproportionate number is owned by MGM Resorts International, one of the world’s largest hospitality firms.
