One of Maryland's highest-ranking elected officials in Congress is confident his fellow lawmakers will still pony up the money needed to build a new headquarters for the FBI, perhaps even later this year, despite the federal government's surprise decision to spike the project last month for a lack of appropriations. U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said he believes there's bipartisan consensus behind the need to move the nation's top law enforcement agency from its aging and deteriorating home.
