NEW YORK CITY—Almanac Realty Investors, a provider of growth capital to public and private real estate companies, has named Henry C. Herms its chief financial officer.
Herms comes to Almanac from Lazard Real Estate Partners LLC, a manager of real estate funds. Herms worked there since 1997, serving as Controller and Treasurer. As CFO, Herms, who is a Certified Public Account, will be responsible for financial reporting, tax reporting, internal accounting, compliance, treasury and client relations.
From 1989 to 1997 Herms was a manager with Arthur Andersen LLP, responsible for managing audits and consulting engagements for publicly-listed and privately-held organizations in the real estate and construction industries. Herms graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University in 1989 and is a CPA licensed in the state of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
