The National Multi Housing Council’s (NMHC) annual compensation and benefits survey launches today. This year marks the tenth anniversary of NMHC’s compensation and benefits research initiative. Firms that complete the survey questionnaire by the May 8 deadline will save substantially on the price of the final research report that will be published in July.
Survey participants can purchase the complete research report for $600, compared to $1,800 for non-participating NMHC members and $2,700 for non-NMHC members that do not participate. The survey, which is open to all apartment firms, can be completed online at www.nmhc.org/goto/09CompSurvey. The survey is produced in partnership with Watson Wyatt Data Services, a leading market data provider.
The NMHC National Apartment Survey of Compensation and Benefits Practices is the apartment industry’s premier source for compensation and benefits information. Now more than ever, a competitive compensation plan is essential to strategic business operations, and this survey provides critical market-by-market benchmarks. NMHC’s survey is the only comprehensive source of regional, sub-regional, state and metropolitan area data.
The 2009 survey covers 65 corporate- and property-level positions from top executives to leasing consultants. It also includes base salary and total compensation data, salary increase budgets for the coming year, and bonus, variable pay, and long-term incentive program information. Other key highlights include: employee turnover; health care benefits; paid leave, 401(k) and profit-sharing plans, workforce efficiency ratios, and more.
