NEW YORK—Moed de Armas & Shannon has been selected as the architect of record for the renovation at 110 Fifth Ave., located in the Ladies Mile Historic District. Situated on the corner of Fifth Ave. and 16th Street, the project at 110 Fifth Ave. will include interior renovations and upgrades to the building.
Constructed in 1888 and designed by McKim, Mead and White, 110 Fifth Avenue is a 170,000-sq.-ft., 11-story office building originally built to house publishing operations. The property was acquired by the New York Times Company for use by its magazine group and was then purchased in 1996 by a joint venture formed by Arnold Goldstein and Mickey Rabina.
“The renovation at 110 Fifth Ave. has been painstakingly planned and researched to ensure that it preserves the historic significance of the property while modernizing amenities to meet the needs of today’s demanding commercial tenants” said Dan Shannon, principal, Moed de Armas & Shannon. “We’re delighted to be jointly selected by Rabina Properties and Samson Management for this prestigious landmark project.”
Established in 1991, Moed de Armas & Shannon is based in New York City.
