Former Warner Brothers Building Goes to Taconic Investment Partners

NEW YORK—Taconic Investment Partners has picked up 619 West 54th Street, a 326,000-sq.-ft. commercial property. Jones Lang LaSalle Vice Chairmen Mitchell Konsker and Matthew Astrachan and Vice President Alexis Tener have been appointed as exclusive leasing brokers for the property, which was originally built by Warner Brothers Pictures in 1930 as a film editing and processing facility.

Currently, the building includes tenants in the media, advertising, fashion, medical services and technology industries.

Taconic Investment Partners has plans to significantly update the property and will be working with Cook + Fox Architects. Plans for improvements include updated the façade, refining the 27,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor-level retail space and updating the commercial floors. The building’s technology infrastructure will also be upgraded.
